"When I was six years old, I was sexually abused by someone in my neighborhood. This experience left me feeling confused and a loss of innocence. It took me years to get over the hurdle of calling myself a victim because I didn't realize what I had experienced was a form of sexual abuse. If you don't have a clear story of sexual abuse or don't know if your experiences were abuse in nature, we are here for you. We want you to know that no matter the severity of your experience, no matter if you remember or not, we are here to help guide you and help you find hope in your story."
Director of Business Development
"When I was five years old, a family friend sexually abused me. The aftermath of the abuse wove a thread of pain and lack of connectedness in all of my relationships. Through an extensive healing process, and working at a local non-profit, where I helped others who shared the same traumatic experiences, Trees of Hope was created in 2008. I am passionate about protecting children and loving on the hurting. If you feel shame from what happened to you, we are here to help heal those wounds. Shame says there is something wrong with us. But there isn't! There is something wrong with them...those who violated us."
