How To Get Involved

Use your Time, Voice, and Gifts to Protect Children and Bring Hope to Survivors.

There’s a place for everyone in the fight against sexual abuse—and your role matters more than you know.

Using your professional skills, creating honest conversations, sharing your healing story, or simply saying “yes” to protecting children—all these help rewrite the future. Every action, no matter how small, is part of a larger movement of prevention, protection, and hope.

We are currently seeking facilitators for our healing groups. If interested, complete our Shelter Healing Study and our Cultivate Facilitator Training. As a survivor-led organization, all healing volunteers are survivors. Your story, healing, and willingness to support others could help someone begin again.

HOW TO JOIN THE MOVEMENT OF SURVIVORS HELPING SURVIVORS

  • Hopeful woman preparing to volunteer, beginning her own healing journey to support others.

    Start the Shelter Healing Study

This 12-week study is designed to walk you through your own healing journey first—because we believe true leadership in this work begins with personal transformation. Through Scripture, guided reflection, honest conversation, and safe community, you’ll process the wounds of the past in a Christ-centered environment that honors both your story and your pace.

Whether this is your first step toward healing or part of a continued journey, Shelter creates space for you to confront shame, rebuild trust, and reclaim your voice. It’s more than a study—it’s a sacred invitation to healing. And for those who feel called to help others heal, this is where the journey begins.

Before you can lead, you must first be led into healing. Shelter lays the foundation for that.

  • Empowered woman leading a support group after completing our Cultivate facilitator training.

Learn About the Cultivate Facilitator Training

Once you’ve completed the Shelter Healing Study, you’ll be invited into Cultivate—a specialized facilitator training designed to help you lead others through healing with humility, strength, and Spirit-led compassion. Over the course of this training, you’ll be equipped with trauma-informed practices, biblical leadership principles, and the practical tools needed to create safe, sacred spaces for survivors to heal.

You’ll learn the proven methods we’ve developed over the past 15+ years to create safe, Christ-centered spaces for survivors to heal.

Please note: Cultivate is only for individuals who have completed the Shelter Study and desire to serve under the umbrella of Trees of Hope, aligning with our mission, values, and survivor-led model.

OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED

  • Confident woman leading a prevention workshop, excited to teach parents how to protect their children.

    Host a Workshop

Host a life-changing prevention at your church, school, or organization. Whether you’re looking to educate your community on how to protect children or offer a path to healing for those impacted by sexual abuse, we’ll equip you with everything you need. Our Christ-centered workshops are engaging, practical, and designed to create a lasting impact—helping you foster a culture of safety, awareness, and restoration.

  • Powerful survivor smiling boldly, using her story to advocate for prevention and healing.

    Become an Advocate

Use your voice to make an impact. By sharing our content on social media, inviting friends to attend a class, or starting a personal fundraiser, you help break the silence surrounding sexual abuse. Every post, conversation, and dollar raised brings more awareness, more healing, and more protection for those who need it most. You don’t have to lead a group to lead change—your influence matters!

  • Woman in prayer group interceding for the mission to protect children and bring healing to survivors.

    Pray With Us

We believe prayer is powerful and foundational to everything we do. By covering survivors, families, and the ministry of Trees of Hope in intentional, Spirit-led prayer, you become part of the healing work God is doing. Whether you’re praying daily on your own, with a group, or during one of our events, your intercession creates space for God’s protection, restoration, and light to break into dark and hurting places.

OUR CALL TO ACTION
