How To Get Involved
Use Your Time, Voice, and God-Given Gifts to Protect Children and Bring Hope to Survivors.
You’ve experienced healing — and now you feel the tug to help others do the same. At Trees of Hope, we believe God uses willing hearts to bring hope, truth, and compassion to survivors. If you’ve completed Shelter and feel called to lead, we invite you to explore becoming a facilitator. Please follow the steps below.
HOW TO JOIN THE MOVEMENT OF SURVIVORS HELPING SURVIVORS
-

First Step: Complete Shelter as a Participant
The first step toward becoming a facilitator is to go through healing as a participant. Before you can lead others, you need space to let God meet you, restore you, and strengthen you from the inside out.
Shelter is a 12-week journey that walks you through your own healing with Scripture, guided reflection, and safe community. It’s a Christ-centered environment where you can process your story honestly, confront the wounds that shaped you, rebuild trust, and reclaim your voice at your own pace. Many women describe Shelter as the first time they’ve ever felt truly seen and supported in their healing.
If you feel called to help others heal, this is where it starts. You must complete two to three full cycles of Shelter before stepping into facilitation so your leadership flows from a place of depth, wholeness, and lived experience. This foundation ensures that when you lead others, you do so with humility, empathy, and spiritual maturity.
-

Second Step: Complete the Cultivate Live Training
Once you’ve completed your two to three cycles of the Shelter Healing Study, your next step is Cultivate Live—our facilitator training that you apply for and that we offer three times each year. To begin this step, you must first be recommended by your facilitator, as they are the ones who have walked closely with you through your healing journey.
Cultivate Live equips future facilitators with the biblical foundation, trauma-informed tools, and practical skills needed to lead with confidence and compassion. In this training, you’ll learn the same methods we’ve used for over 15 years to create safe, Christ-centered spaces for survivors to heal.
Please note: Cultivate Live is only for those who have completed the Shelter Study and desire to serve under Trees of Hope, aligning with our mission, values, and survivor-led model.
OTHER WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
-

Host a Workshop
Host a life-changing prevention at your church, school, or organization. Whether you’re looking to educate your community on how to protect children or offer a path to healing for those impacted by sexual abuse, we’ll equip you with everything you need. Our Christ-centered workshops are engaging, practical, and designed to create a lasting impact—helping you foster a culture of safety, awareness, and restoration.
-

Become an Advocate
Use your voice to make an impact. By sharing our content on social media, inviting friends to attend a class, or starting a personal fundraiser, you help break the silence surrounding sexual abuse. Every post, conversation, and dollar raised brings more awareness, more healing, and more protection for those who need it most. You don’t have to lead a group to lead change—your influence matters!
OUR CALL TO ACTION
“When you get involved, you become part of the change—helping protect children, restore survivors, and bring hope where silence once lived.”
