This facilitator’s guide is part of the Shelter program created by Trees of Hope for survivors of sexual abuse. This guide is for women aged 18 and over who want to become facilitators with Trees of Hope.

The first step in becoming a facilitator is to complete the Shelter program. You must next complete the Cultivate online training curriculum. This guide will then be your trusted companion in your facilitation, helping you learn how to lead a group safely for the members. You will also be shown how to gently encourage group members to share their stories as they go through the Shelter From The Storm book and workbook.

This guide is not for people still struggling in the early stages of their healing journey. It is designed for survivors who have already learned how to process their trauma and are called to help others heal physically, emotionally, and spiritually through the love of Jesus Christ.

You will need this guide to lead groups through the 12-unit Shelter program.
